EXPLORE

NOT HIGH SCHOOL BY THE BOOKS

At Marvelwood, our approach to learning is both structured and flexible. That means no two days are the same. Students get to explore unique, real-world learning opportunities both in and outside the classroom.

Courses come alive through engaging conversations and hands-on opportunities to dig in and discover what drives you. With the freedom to get creative, learning becomes interesting—and even awe-inspiring.

Beyond exciting coursework, students can shape their experience through electives that spark new passions, enrichment opportunities that build meaningful life skills, experiential learning that informs career paths, and community activities that form bonds for life.

Whether competing in Envirothon, creating art, researching endangered bird populations alongside conservation experts, making a difference during weekly community service, or traveling with Round Square, students engage in new experiences that push them to think differently and grow in unexpected ways—the kind of growth that shifts trajectories and shapes futures.

“I had never even considered playing lacrosse, but I tried it out and loved it—and we won the championship.”

“You become comfortable saying “yes” to things and signing up, and I think that’s an invaluable skill.”

Explore Through Experience

Three defining experiences shape how students explore the world around them through service, environmental work, and global connection.

JUST SAY "YES"

At Marvelwood, engagement is the expectation. We’ve built a culture that values effort over perfection, where real growth begins the moment you say "yes." When students are given the freedom to explore, they don’t just find new interests, they find themselves. They find their purpose.

That openness means you aren’t limited to one lane. You have a safe space to stretch, stumble, and ultimately surprise yourself. You can be the soccer player and the soloist, the community leader and the rock climber.

Whether you’re diving deeper into an existing passion or discovering a new one, there’s no single way to "do" Marvelwood—and there’s never a dull moment.

ACTIVE, ENGAGED, AND 100% INSPIRED
