Faculty

educating the Whole Student

At Marvelwood, teaching is deeply personal. United by an unwavering commitment to each student’s well-being, our educators guide students academically, socially, and personally, helping them build the kind of confidence and resilience that shapes them forever.

Students are known here — not just by name, but by their goals, challenges, strengths, and stories.

Our faculty and staff are educators, mentors, coaches, dorm parents, advisors, and collaborators. Most live on campus, which means relationships continue to develop long after the bell rings. Students and teachers connect at meals, on the sidelines, in advisory meetings, during afternoon activities, and in the dorms.

Since faculty share so many parts of daily life with students, they are in a unique position to offer guidance that extends well beyond the classroom. The result is a learning environment where students feel seen, supported, understood, and encouraged to grow into their best selves.

Teaching With Freedom & Flexibility

Marvelwood teachers have the creative freedom to design meaningful, student-centered learning experiences that truly engage and resonate.

They are experts not only in their subject matter, but at understanding what students at different levels need. Small classes allow faculty to work closely with each student and adapt to various learning styles and paces. With the freedom to get creative, teachers bring learning to life in ways that demonstrate their own passion, inspire students, and connect academics with the world beyond the classroom.
