Remembering: Micah Washington '08
We share with great sadness that on December 6th, 2022, Micah Washington unexpectedly passed away. Micah's parents have requested that donations in his memory be sent to your local homeless shelter/affordable housing coalition or mental health facility or organization in lieu of flowers. We will continue to keep his friends and family in our thoughts.

Community Spotlight: Meredith Hoddeson '17
Meredith Hoddeson’s ‘15 love for theatre was reignited during her time at Marvelwood, and led her to her successful career at the National Yiddish Theater Folksbiene, and running a small business.
Community Spotlight: Jonathan Matson '17
Jonathan Matson ‘17 spent his time at Marvelwood learning and developing his interests in technology and gaming. Matson graduated from Champlain College in 2021 and founded Matson & Associates, a technology consulting firm that serves local non-profit organizations. More recently, Jonathan has returned to Marvelwood as an Admissions Associate, and we are happy he’s back!
Community Spotlight: Vanessa Plant '96
Vanessa originally felt that she would never fit in at school. After joining the Marvelwood community, Vanessa felt a new sense of belonging! Today, she has developed her career to support nonprofit organizations.
Community Spotlight: Eric Geller '93
At Marvelwood, Eric developed his creativity through storytelling, and his love for the game Dungeons and Dragons. Eric now works at OnPoint NYC, advising clients on how to reach their goals throughout recovery.
Community Spotlight: George Bard '71
We are privileged to feature George Bard Jr. ‘71, an artist, film advocate, athlete, landscape explorer and current trustee of Marvelwood School. Most recently George produced an animated short film titled Azúcar with Planet Nutshell, a small animation company based in Boston. This film first premiered at the Socially Relevant Film Festival in New York City in May, and was accepted in other film festivals throughout the US and abroad.
Community Spotlight: Stephanie Mufson '98
At Marvelwood, Stephanie found a supportive community that allowed her to express herself. Stephanie currently owns and operates The Parade Guys, based out of San Francisco, California.
