Marvelwood School seeks an energetic and motivated candidate for the position of Admission Associate.

The Admission Associate assists with all phases of the admission process, from inquiry through enrollment. They help promote and present the school and its mission to prospective students and parents, guiding applicants through the admission process and coordinating the on-campus visit experience for students and families.

As the first point of contact in the Admission Office, the Admission Associate is a vital part of a four-person team and reports to the Director of Enrollment Management. The Associate will provide administrative and customer service support for the student enrollment cycle.

Duties include:

  • Provide customer service for the Admission Office, including the reception of guests and prospective families.

  • Manage lead and inquiry data to ensure accurate and timely communication with families, educational consultants, and feeder schools in email and other written correspondence, as well as for accurate reporting and data management.

  • Schedule, organize and confirm campus visits and interviews.

  • Conduct school tours.

  • Answer the main phone for the Admission Office and direct calls accurately.

  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing and Communications team such as assisting with social media.

  • Occasionally work outside typical office hours to support school events in the evenings and on weekends (Family Weekend, Registration, etc).

  • Occasionally attend admission fairs and events to promote the school; local domestic travel will be limited but possible.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, use discretion, and be impartial, professional, and objective.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, basic data management systems, computer applications, and/or willingness to learn applications as required.

  • A valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Prior experience in independent school admissions.

  • High competence in Google Suite.

  • Experience with database management, preferably Veracross.

  • Experience with graphic design using Canva.

Compensation and Work Hours

This is a non-exempt, hourly position involving 40 hours per week. The position requires in-person work on campus in Kent, Connecticut, and takes place during school hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Compensation is commensurate with experience and skill level. The position is a 12-month position with paid time off and benefits available.
