Karin joined the Marvelwood staff in 2005 after being a stay at home mom for 16 years. After six years as Assistant to the Health Center, Karin moved across the street to the Academic Office where she served as Registrar for three years. Currently, she is a Senior Associate for Advancement & Marketing.
Karin loves Marvelwood and her extended family here; she and her husband are very grateful that two of their children have had the opportunity to learn and grow as students at Marvelwood which helped shape them into the successful adults that they are today.

Linda earned a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in English from Simmons College in Boston, and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. in English Literature and Renaissance Studies from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). She has taught literature and composition courses at John Jay College, City College, Hunter College, Baruch College, and Western Connecticut State University. Linda also served as a Writing Fellow at John Jay College, and held Communication and Postdoctoral Fellowships at the Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute at Baruch College. She began her teaching career at Charlestown High School in Boston and taught English at Vandzenes Vidusskola in Latvia.
Linda's approach to teaching is student-centered and focuses on students' intellectual, emotional, and social growth. She currently teaches Honors English 12, Honors English 10, ESL Reading and Writing, and Independent Study. She also works in Learning Support, is faculty advisor to Pen & Ink, Marvelwood’s literature and arts journal, and serves as assistant to the Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Linda has taught courses in Shakespeare, Chaucer (in both Middle and Modern English), Virginia Woolf and Postmodernism, Introduction to Literature, Monsters in British Literature, Magic and Witchcraft in the Renaissance, and Composition and Rhetoric.
Linda lives in Sharon with her husband, Alfie. She loves yoga, hiking the Sharon Land Trust trails with her husband, stepdaughters, and granddaughter, and taking brisk beach walks in Watch Hill, RI. She volunteers at The Sharon Historical Society and, each July, bakes a cake for their annual cake auction. Each spring, she shares her love of gardening with Marvelwood’s students in the Organic Gardening afterschool program.

Karl has spent nearly all of his 37-year career as a boarding school educator. A 1985 alumnus of The Kildonan School, he began teaching at Camp Dunnabeck as an Orton-Gillingham Practicioner in 1990, and then continued at The Kildonan School in several roles including OG Practitioner, Teacher, Coach, Dorm Head, Director of Residential life, and Dean of Students. Prior to joining Marvelwood, Karl was Director of Residential Life at The Greenwood School. He has also served as Director of Camp Dunnabeck since 2018 and as Assistant Director for 6 years.

Ian received his bachelor's degree in social work from Providence College in 2008 and completed his master's at the University of Connecticut in 2009 with a focus on clinical social work. Ian was licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in 2012.
Ian has over a decade of experience in therapy and counseling roles, in addition to leadership and supervisory roles. He has worked with a variety of populations, including children, adolescents, families and adults. Ian has also worked in both residential and outpatient settings, with a career emphasis on adolescents and families. Within his role as a therapist, Ian is trained in trauma work, psychodynamic relational theories, cognitive and dialectical approaches. Ian also has experience with co-occurring substance use disorders and worked to build services for eating disorder care for boys in his previous role.
In his free time, Ian enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, participating in athletics and playing guitar.

Alecia completed her undergraduate at Union College in New York. After graduation, she worked as a channel inside sales representative for a fiberoptic and network cable manufacturing company for four years in Connecticut. Upon moving to Maine with her family in 2015, Alecia began working at Kents Hill School, first as the Stewardship Coordinator in Advancement and then as a full-time English teacher. Alecia also coached girls soccer, softball, and tennis during her tenure. While at Kents Hill, she completed her Masters in Education with an emphasis on administrative leadership. She was there for 7 years. In 2022, she moved back to Connecticut at which time she became CT Certified to teach English grades 6-12 and began working as a 7th-grade ELA teacher in New Milford, CT.
In her free time, Alecia likes to hike, read, spend time with her dog, rock climb, travel the world, go to concerts, cook, visit her nephews, build things, draw/paint, attend sporting events, play tennis and pickleball, and ski.

Gettysburg College, B.A.
Alexander graduated from Marvelwood with the class of 2019. During his time at Marvelwood, Alex participated in numerous theatre performances, co-captained the lacrosse team, served as a Star Dorm Prefect, Class Representative, and a member of the Judicial Counsel. Alex is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in History and a minor in French. At Gettysburg, he played ultimate frisbee, performed in 12 shows, and undertook a handful of other endeavors throughout the years. He plans to pursue a master's degree in American History through the Gettysburg College joint program with the Gilder-Lehrman Institute.
At Marvelwood, Alex joins the History Department and teaches courses in World and U.S. History. He assists the Theatre Program in the fall and retakes the lacrosse field as an assistant coach in the spring. Alex has worked at Camp Dunnabeck, where he has been a counselor, dorm head, and activity leader for 3 years. He was also partially trained in the Orton-Gillingham 1:1 approach and served as a tutor for a summer.
In his free time, Alex loves playing sports, singing, working out, and getting his frisbee unstuck from the gym ceiling.

Glenn Sanchez is the History Chair and the Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Each year his top students participate in the Yale Model United Nations conference in New Haven. Since his arrival to Marvelwood in 1990 he has held many positions including Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, Academic Dean, Athletic Director, Admissions Associate, Summer School Director, and Lacrosse Camp Director. He is currently a Selectman in the Town of Kent.
Glenn met his wife Sarah Marshall on Marvelwood's Cornwall campus, and she is now the Director of the Kent Memorial Library. Their two children, Victoria '18 and Alex ‘19, are alumni of Marvelwood. Alex teaches history at Marvelwood and Victoria teaches French at New Hampton School in New Hampshire.

Nick graduated from Marvelwood in 2007. He studied Computer Graphics Technology in college, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science. Before returning to Marvelwood, Nick worked for 10 years developing STEAM and technology related classes for after school programs for a small family owned company. His specialties are in 3D Animation and Game Design. Nick is a huge believer in the application of technology, an advocate for board games, loves Role Playing Games such as D&D and Magic the Gathering, and enjoys going to the cinema to view the next fantasy or sci-fi flick. Nick never declines a brownie sundae or cheesecake when offered.

Christine Sinclair holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Saybrook University. With a diverse background teaching at both private and public schools, she has gained valuable experience in classroom settings as well as after-school programs. Driven by her love for learning, Christine finds joy in sharing her knowledge and empowering others through education. She considers it a privilege to be a teacher and finds inspiration in collaborating with students to help them thrive academically and personally.
Outside of her role at Marvelwood, Christine dedicates her time to teaching movement and meditation classes for both adults and children in natural environments such as forests or bodies of water, where she incorporates activities like kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. She is an avid trail runner, paddleboarder, cross-country skier, and alpine skier. Christine resides on a land trust in Kent with her partner, Steve, their two young children, and a group of senior rescued farm animals.

Frank has been living the area for the better part of 25 years. This past fall, he served as a temporary leave replacement at the Millbrook School, where he taught an “Immigration and Migration” class to seniors. Prior to his posting at The Indian Mountain School, he was a tutor and teacher at The Kildonan School, a school for dyslexic students. He also served as Associate Director of Educational Support Services at St. Luke’s School. Frank and his wife Michelle currently live at the Salisbury School (where she tutors and teaches) along with their two children, Marco and Caterina.
Frank says "I LOVE being with my wife and kids more than anything in the world: laughing, playing games, cooking, etc". He is an avid NYT crossword-solver and loves reading.
