Boys JV Basketball Downed By Chase

On Saturday February 20^th the Marvelwood JV Basketball team played its final game of the season at Chase Collegiate.  This was an action packed game with both teams implementing a full court press.  Chase Collegiate played better defense during the first half and held a ten point lead at the half.  They extended the lead to 16 points in the second half before our team mounted a strong comeback and cut the lead to 3 points with 11 seconds to play.  Unfortunately, we missed our final 3 point shots while Chase made their free throws and prevailed 67-60.  The game was well played and both teams displayed good sportsmanship.

Bowen Luo ’10 scored 12 points, dished out 4 assists, grabbed 3 steals and 2 rebounds.  Kevin Bogucki ’11 scored 13 points and had 2 steals.  Koa-Ting Hsu ’12 scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist.  Qigao Wang ’11 scored 6 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, made 3 assists and 2 steals.  Tyler Knowles ’10 played another great game in the paint with 6 points and 4 rebounds.  Chih-Hsiang Ko ’11 scored a season high 5 points.  TJ Jacobs ‘10 played tough at the point with 5 points, 2 steals and 2 rebounds. - Coach Mason
