Boys' JV Basketball Wins Third Game In A Row!

On Saturday, January 30^th the Marvelwood Boys' JV Basketball team traveled to Danbury to play Wooster.  Our team began the game where we left off against NYMA and jumped out to a 15-0 lead.  We played spirited defense and created some easy baskets from steals.  Unfortunately we got a little sloppy and got ourselves into foul trouble which in turn gave our opponents free points from the foul line.  In the second half we missed many easy opportunities to score but maintained a 10 point lead and earned our third victory in a row 40-28.

Bowen Luo ’10 led the team with 14 points, 6 steals, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a blocked shot.  Kevin Boguski ’11 also played a great game with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.  TJ Jacobs ‘10 played well at the point with 4 points, 4 steals, 2 assists, 2 rebounds and a monster blocked shot.  Zian Xu ’10 also scored 4 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and had 2 steals on defense.  Kao-Ting Hsu ‘12 pulled down 9 rebounds and scored 2 points.  Wei Cui ’10 played tenacious defense while recording 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and a blocked shot.  The team is now 3-5 overall with our next game at home on Wednesday against Oakwood Friends. - Coach Mason
