Congratulations to the newest Marvelwood alumni: 41 members of the class of 2008, who graduated on May 31st!
The ceremonies were even more special because the Class of 2008 was the 50th class to graduate from the school. To mark the occasion, Ken Ingraham '58, a member of the very first graduating class, addressed the seniors at the beginning of the commencement exercises.
There were 16 four-year seniors in the Class of 2008, four times more than had graduated in the Class of 1958! This year's graduates came from nine states and four foreign countries. There were also five Marvelwood “legacies” represented: Alyx Applegate (niece of Kip Zent ‘93 ), Sean Graesser (son of Gerry '61), Jade Brown (sister of Gigi and cousin of Rashon Bryan, both ‘06), Courtney Keffer-Fries (sister of Peter ‘02), and Teddy Rindos (son of Board member Sara-Jane Danaher Rindos ‘80).
Christina Galan won the school's highest recognition, the Wittenberg Cup; Jade Brown was awarded the Loyalty Cup; and Jacob Foster won the Johnson Cup, which recognizes the student who has made the most significant personal and academic improvement during his time at Marvelwood.
