The amazing, almost lily-white Dactylettes wrapped up this season on Monday in a hard fought contest against a very reliable Harvey team. This was the second HVAL play-off game which had us in the semi-finals. Becca Pascarelli '10 pitched the entiire game striking out at least twelve batters, and really dampening Harvey's well known hitting ability. When Harvey did hit, they faced solid play from the Marvelwood infield. Ashley Melendez '10 played an excellent game at first base, and Mirabelle Thevenin '08 remained reliable at second. Alex Klisiaris '09, a formidable presence behind the plate, kept the steals to a minimum. Although there was not much action in the outfield, Katie Riley '08 had the chance to show her stuff in right field which she did by making two great right field plays. At bat the Dactylettes were patient and reliable. Unfortunately running errors upset the balance, and Harvey came out on top 11-9. It was a good game, and it marks the end of the best season the Marvelwood Softball team has seen in nine years. The girls finished 4-4 in the regular season, and 5-5 overall. Excellent season girls!!! congratulations!!!
