Senior Service Trip

Every spring, Marvelwood's Senior Service Trip provides a culminating experience for Marvelwood's soon-to-be-graduates. This trip offers seniors valid and tangible proof of their potential to make a difference in the lives of others while also reconnecting to the objectives of each fall’s Senior Orientation: leadership, friendship and heightened potential.

Each May, seniors travel to Washington D.C. to work with various non-profit organizations including Habitat for Humanity's Restore, DC Central Kitchen and Charlie's Kitchen.

Considering the nature of this five-day experience, its location and its potential impact on our seniors and others, it is a journey we look forward to each year. The Senior Service Trip is an important event that allows seniors to do something tangible, significant and memorable as a group during their last days at Marvelwood. This trip is considered a part of each student’s community service requirement for graduation, and all seniors are required to participate.
